Job Description

Dude Girl is looking for an enthusiastic individual to oversee and perform all customer service functions, shipping and warehousing functions including general order receipt and pick-pack-ship duties, as well as some inventory management. This is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing start-up.

Dude Girl seeks a strong, reliable performer to manage the following:

Clerical Activities - phones, organization, filing

Retail and Wholesale Order Processing

• Receive, enter (in order system) and file orders
• Communicate OOS, timing and order adjustments with customers.
• All activities related to shipping and warehousing such as monitoring inventory levels, scheduling delivery dates, in addition to managing all pick-pack-ship duties, and customer follow-up and confirmation, post office and Fedex runs.
• Communicate with Dude Girl team about status on all orders, inventory levels for re-order and inventory planning purposes, and general activities related to making sure orders are complete and shipped on time.
• Create packing slips, labels and other documentation as it relates to shipping orders.

Customer Service Processes

• Play a lead role in researching and establishing new processes that will save time and money - to help us automate many tasks that are done by hand currently.
• Evaluate, Create and improve processes for Customer Service.
• Identify and resolve service problems with internal Dude Girl departments.
• Improve Customer service environment to world-class - so that Dude Girl is known for their second-to-none service: personable, professional and quick-solutions-oriented.
• Work with Production to make sure WHSL customers are notified well in advance of cancellation / substitutions, and to make sure that we are on-schedule with on-time delivery.
• Work with Finance to streamline Shipping/Billing and order changes and cancellations.
• Work with Marketing to establish strong, clear messaging to customers - both WHSL and Retail.
• Work with Design to provide product feedback from customers in order to continue to improve our products.

Inventory Management

• Check in new inventory from factories
• Weekly inventory reports and updates and recommendations
• Identify stock for events, sales and trade shows, and clearance.

Web Store Updates

• Update OOS items, new product arrival dates on a regular basis.
• Set up new product pages
• Some photo manipulation required (photoshop/illustrator)

Other Activities

• Trade Show Planning and Prep: help with logistics, planning, trailer rentals, signs, errands, show boxes, loading and hauling, pricing of sale items, pack show orders
• Work Trade Show booth
• Salesperson at events
• Sponsorship and Trade Shipments

Required Skills

• Good verbal communication, phone skills, and ability to learn quickly.
• Proficiency and comfort using computer and Microsoft Office Programs.
• A hands-on orientation with excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
• A high energy, enthusiastic self-starter, who possesses leadership skills and sound, mature business judgment and is capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Excel.
• Solutions-oriented attitude.
• Knowledge of Quickbooks a plus.

The name, Dude Girl, comes from the title of a book written about founder's grandmother and her 2-month journey on horseback across the Rocky Mountains with her girlfriends in 1928. In 2003, Dude Girl was reborn an Adventure Travel company, leading cycling tours to the Tour de France, mountain bike tours to Bulgaria and trail running trips in Tuolumne Meadows/Yosemite.
